Dieser jährliche Bericht ist 2019 zum ersten Mal erschienen und zu der Insider-Studie geworden, in der Einzelheiten über die Ambitionen, Herausforderungen und Ergebnisse der Unternehmen zum Thema Intelligent Automation veröffentlicht werden.

In der vor der Corona-Pandemie durchgeführten Kofax BenchmarkStudie 2020–21 zur Intelligent Automation* bestätigten die teilnehmenden Führungskräfte der Unternehmen, dass ihr Fokus auf intelligenter Automatisierung liegt. Es wurde eine Erhöhung der Budgets für intelligente Automatisierung um mehr als 40 % prognostiziert, und der technologische Ansatz, den die Unternehmen für die Automatisierung wählten, war ebenso wichtig. Die Führungskräfte berichteten, dass ein Automatisierungsansatz mit punktuellen Lösungen von mehreren Anbietern Herausforderungen mit sich brachte, darunter technische Schuld (46 %), Verzögerungen bei der erfolgreichen Realisierung (35 %) und geringere Investitionsrentabilität (33 %). Fast alle Teilnehmer (99 %) zogen eine Plattformlösung von einem einzigen Anbieter vor – und führten als Vorteile der integrierten Intelligent-Automation.

Plattformen eine Verbesserung des Kundenerlebnisses (54 %), der Mitarbeiterproduktivität (52%), der Effizienz (52 %) und der Sicherheit und Compliance (51 %) an. Darüber hinaus sagten 48 % der Teilnehmer, dass ihren Mitarbeitern die technischen Fähigkeiten für den Umgang mit ihrer Automatisierungstechnik fehlten und sie deshalb eine Plattform mit wenig Programmierungsbedarf bevorzugten, die benutzerfreundlich (80 %) und dennoch fortschrittlich genug für technische Power-User sei (78 %).
