As a result, IT spending is projected to reach $93 billion in 2021, a 7.3% increase from 2020.

These new developments have demanded larger IT teams with more diverse skills, that can develop, implement, and manage these new technological projects. In response to these demands, companies have had to embark on new recruitment drives to find candidates with the right skills to support these new initiatives. Indeed found that technology related positions in India rose 13% in January 2021 compared to the previous year,3 with demand for skilled technical roles such as application developer, lead consultant, Salesforce developer, and site reliability engineer increasing by as much as 300%.
